Edward M. Andrews P.E.
Mr. Andrews’ 25 years of experience in the planning, management, and design of civil engineering projects has contributed to the successful delivery of high profile projects across North America and in Africa. As an experienced executive with leadership, team building and technical engineering skills, Mr. Andrews has demonstrated success in working with local, state, federal and foreign officials for large and complex civil engineering projects.
During the last 22 years of his career, Mr. Andrews has worked exclusively on aviation projects. Mr. Andrews has served as Project Manager for “Greenfield Airport Projects” encompassing runways, taxiways, terminals, access roads and other airside facilities. He was the Construction and Deputy Technical Manager for the construction of the Akwa Ibom International Airport (AKIA) in Uyo Nigeria. In addition Mr. Andrews has been responsible for several runway and taxiway rehabilitation projects at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW); Project Manager for South-side Taxiways at the Los Angeles International Airport, (LAX), Resident Engineer for the conversion of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA). Mr. Andrews was also Construction Manager, for an $85 million conversion to create the Killeen Joint Use Airport at Robert Gray Airfield (GRK), Fort Hood, Killeen, Texas. Mr. Andrews also serves as a Project Engineering Consultant for the $232 million Fort Worth Alliance Airport Runway Extension Project.
In 2008 he founded the Dallas/Fort Worth based civil engineering and construction management firm, Project Management Associates PLLC (PMA). Under the guidance of Mr. Andrews as CEO, PMA has established itself as a leading niche firm providing aviation and civil engineering technical expertise in the region.
Mr. Andrews has also worked as a consultant engineer with DynCorp International in Africa and with Carter Burgess\Jacobs both in the Aviation Engineering sector. Mr. Andrews holds a B.S in Civil Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi Ghana and M.S. in Civil Engineering from the Texas A&M University, College Station, USA. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
